Yes. All Private Banking clients are eligible to apply for all BMO U.S. cards offered through the BMO Private Wealth cross-border program, including the Wealth Management card.

BMO Nesbitt Burns clients with between CDN $250,000 and CDN $1 million in investable assets with BMO are eligible to apply for: BMO Premium Rewards Credit Card, BMO Platinum Rewards Credit Card, BMO Platinum Credit Card, and BMO Cash Back Credit Card. BMO Nesbitt Burns clients with CDN$1 million or more in investable assets with BMO are also eligible to apply for the BMO Wealth Management Credit Card.

As a Canadian resident with a Canadian credit history, you must have your first conversation with your BMO Private Wealth professional who will introduce you to our dedicated support team at BMO U.S., who will start the application.

To check your BMO Flex Rewards balance and redeem your points, log in at bmo.com/us then click "View and Redeem" from your Account Details screen. Online access is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to view your available balance or make a redemption.

You may redeem your cash back for a statement credit that may be applied to an eligible account you designate at BMO U.S. Rewards redeemed to a BMO U.S. Chequing, Savings, or Money Market account will be credited to that account 7-10 business days after your redemption request.

Both cards will let you shop in U.S. dollars but most of the BMO U.S. credit cards let you earn rewards as well. Payments on a credit card issued in the U.S. must be paid with U.S. dollars from a U.S. bank account, but payments on a credit card issued in Canada may be paid with U.S. dollars from a Canadian bank account. You can easily make payments online within BMO Digital Banking (U.S.), including setting up automatic payments. You can also make one-time payments by phone or mail.
